ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - In its second fall match of the 2024 season, Eastern Men's Tennis dropped a 5-2 decision to the Penn State Abington Nittany Lions at the EU Tennis Court on Saturday.
Ethan Goonewardene won his first match of the fall at No. 4 singles, while
Fredy Rodriguez also emerged victorious at No. 6 singles.
With the new rules established by the ITA, the match was played to seven points. PSU Abington won two matches at doubles, giving them one point.

Fredy Rodriguez picked up a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles over Charlie Batman and Ulrich Commodore.
Goonwardene won the first set at No. 4 single 6-3, and after conceding the second set, won the third set tiebreaker by a score of 10-8. Rodriguez won the first set tiebreaker at No. 6 singles, 7-6 (7-4), before coming away with a 12-10 win in the third set.
Eastern Men's Tennis will continue its fall season on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 3:00 pm.
