KUTZTOWN, Pa. - In its third fall match of the 2024 season, Eastern Men's Tennis dropped a 7-0 decision to NCAA DII foe Kutztown.
The Golden Bears earned their point in doubles with wins at the No. 2 and 3 spots. Emmitt Robinson and Linus Vennekold swept
Ethan Goonewardene and
Jeremy Brown at No. 2 doubles.
Joshua Pavao and
Shane Witzer won one game at No. 3 doubles, but dropped a 6-1 decision.
Peter Folga battled at No. 2 singles, winning five total games, but dropped a 6-1, 6-4 decision to Henrique Rocha.
Jeffrey Day lost at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-1, while Pavao fell 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 singles. Kutztown won the other three singles matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores.
Eastern (0-3) will be back in St. Davids on Saturday for an 11:00 am matchup against Rutgers-Camden.
