ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - Eastern Men's Tennis battled valiantly, but dropped its fourth fall match of the season, 7-0, to Rutgers-Camden on Saturday afternoon.
In doubles, the duos of
Jeffrey Day and
Peter Folga at No. 1 doubles, along with
Jeremy Brown and
Fredy Rodriguez at No. 2, won 10 combined games, but were unable to close it out in 6-3 and 6-4 losses.
Rodriguez played well at No. 4 singles, winning four games in the second set, but ultimately dropped a 6-1, 6-4 decision. Folga won four games at No. 2 singles in a 6-1, 6-3 setback, and
Joshua Pavao won four games in a 6-2, 6-2 defeat at No. 5 singles. Eastern lost at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles due to forfeit.
Eastern (0-4) concludes its fall season next Saturday against Neumann. First serve is scheduled for 11:00 am.
