Overwatch Sweeps Drexel in Second Match

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - Eastern Overwatch began its 2024 season on Friday with a clean 3-0 sweep of Drexel. The Eagles showcased their impressive teamwork and individual skill to claim victory across all three maps.

The series began at Lijang Tower, where the Eagles quickly established control. Their coordinated play and aggressive pushes allowed them to secure a decisive 2-0 on the first map.

On Blizzard World, the match intensified as Drexel put up a stronger resistance. Despite a few close rounds, Eastern's disciplined play and clutch performances ultimately led to a 3-2 victory.

The series concluded on Colosseo, where Eastern continued their dominance. Their superior coordination and strategic decision-making allowed them to close out the match and secure the 3-0 series win.

Senior Lucas Lauffer was the standout for the Eagles in the win. His performance as Tracer and Cassidy proved to be a game-changer, and his ability to generate early picks and maintain constant pressure on Drexel's backline was instrumental in securing the Eagles' win.

Eastern Overwatch will be back in action this coming Friday against Stevenson.
