ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - On another gorgeous Saturday afternoon in St. Davids, Eastern Women's Tennis capped off its fall season with a 5-2 victory over the visiting Neumann University Knights. The Eagles picked up wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles, as well as the final four singles positions.
In doubles, the Eagles earned a win at No. 3 doubles via forfeit, before
Kayleigh Achenbach and
Sarah Behm earned a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles to give a big first point. The duo improved to 2-2 on the fall season.
Rhyan Metzger earned her first win of the fall with a 7-5, 6-2 decision at No. 3 singles, right after
Grace Schriever recorded her first win, 6-2, 6-1, over Juliet Schilling at No. 4 singles.
Kiley McHugh swept through No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-0, to secure the win.
Eastern will return to action this coming spring.
