Women's Soccer Falls at Marywood

SCRANTON, Pa. - For the second straight match, Eastern Women's Soccer was held off the scoreboard in a 3-0 loss to the Marywood Pacers on Saturday. The Eagles were held to just one shot on goal, and Josephine Sorce scored all three goals for Marywood to give the Pacers their second win over Eastern in the last three meetings.

Ashlynn Keys recorded the first shot of the game in the 5th minute, but the attempt was saved by Marywood goalkeeper Victoria Talarico. Two minutes later, Sorce scored the first goal for the Pacers to set the tone for the rest of the contest. Leah Mowery finished with two shots and Sydney Koncsol recorded one in the first half, but none were on frame.

Sorce scored her second goal in the 60th minute to double the Marywood advantage, and added an insurance tally in the 85th minute to secure the Pacers' triumph. Keys, Mowery, Madelyn Mullen, and Ella Sedor all had chances in the second half, but none tested the Marywood goalkeeper.

The Eagles (1-2)  continues its four-match road trip on Tuesday as they make the quick trek to Aston to take on Neumann. The match is set to begin at 7:00 pm.
