Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Falls at Neumann

ASTON, Pa. - In its third straight road contest, Eastern Women's Soccer's offensive struggles continued in a 1-0 loss at Neumann. After four goals in the opener against PSU Abington, Eastern has been held scoreless in its last three matches.

The Knights outshot the Eagles 12-9 overall and held a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal. Brooke Moskey stood tall in net once again with eight saves, but Catherine Miller's tally in the 62 minute proved to be all that was needed.

The Eagles had their chances in the first half, but three shots from Brynn Rathsam and another from Sydney Koncsol either hit the crossbar or went wide of the net. After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, the Eagles allowed a goal off a corner kick for the second time in three matches. Miller found the ball out of a scramble in front of the net and punched it in to put the Knights ahead.

Eastern had three chances later in the second half, two from Rathsam and one from Paige Snell, but none found the back of the net. Rathsam led the Eagles with five shots, while sophomore Ashlynn Keys recorded two.

Eastern (1-3) will have the rest of the week off and will be back in action next Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Lebanon Valley. Opening kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 pm in Annville.
