ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – GraceHope Stevens earned a tough two-set win at first singles, but Eastern Unviersity Women's Tennis was unable to grab another point in an 8-1 home loss to Hood. 

Stevens won her opening set 6-3 and came back with a 7-5 win to grind out a lengthy win. She combined with Trinity Gruber at the top doubles spot. The duo fell 8-6.

The rest of the Eastern line-up battled but fell short in matches that were often closer than the final scores. 

The Eagles will host Albright on Wednesday.
