IMMACULATA, Pa. - In its third match of the season, Eastern Men's Tennis dropped a 7-2 decision to Immaculata on Wednesday afternoon.
Jeffrey Day improved to 3-0 on the season with another win at No. 3 singles, while
Jacob DeVage earned his first victory at No. 1 singles in 2023.
After dropping the first set 6-4, Day bounced back with a 6-4 win in set two, which set up a winner-take-all third. Day emerged victorious, winning 10-4 in a super tiebreaker and remaining undefeated in his first season. DeVage picked up his first win with a 6-3 victory in set one before blanking his opponent 6-0 in set two.
The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday at Messiah for their MAC Commonwealth opener. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
