SCRANTON, Pa.– Eastern University Women's Lacrosse dropped a 19-4 decision at Marywood. The short-handed Eagles got three goals from
Ellie Pruitt, and
Emerson Shauger scored once.
The host pacers controlled the draws early and built a 7-3 lead through the first fifteen minutes. Pruitt scored the first goal of the match and added her second to tie the score at 2-2. Shauger scored to tie the game at 3-3 with eight and half minutes to play in the period. Marywood won seven of the first nine draws.
The Pacers scored six times in the second quarter to to build a ten-goal edge.
The Eagles won 11 of the final 18 draw controls in the game.
Teresa Gailey had five and
Alyse Hand gathered in four. Marywood finished with a 28-19 edge in shots but got the benefit of 10 saves from senior goalie Emily Dyminski.
The Eagles will host Albright at 5:00 pm on Wednesday.
