HUNTINGDON, Pa. - In a competitive match against Juniata on Wednesday evening, Eastern Men's Tennis came up just short in a 5-4 loss.
Ryan Kratz highlighted singles competition with a three-set tiebreaker triumph, while the team of
Jeffrey Day and
William Livezey earned their first win of the season at No. 2 doubles.
After losing the first game 6-3, Kratz battled against Utsav Derevariya to earn a 7-6 win in game two. The two continued to trade blows, before Kratz emerged victorious with a 7-5 win in the tiebreaker. Day earned his second win of the season at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-4, while
Jacob Craig earned his first win of the spring at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Livezey and Day picked up the Eagles' lone win in doubles play at No. 2 doubles, defeating Dillon Murphy and Kyle Louder by a score of 8-2.
Eastern Men's Tennis will continue its five-match road trip this Saturday at Penn State Brandywine. First serve is scheduled for 12:00 pm.
