BRYN ATHYN, Pa.– With three starters down with injury, Eastern University Women's Lacrosse dropped an 18-4 decision at Bryn Athyn College.
Emerson Shauger and
Caitlyn Quizon each scored twice in the loss.
The Eagles scored first on a Shauger goal from Quizon, but the host Lions scored the next four goals and held a 5-2 lead at the quarter break. Shauger scored her second of the day on a free-position shot midway through the period.
Though they put 11 shots on goal in the first half, Bryn Athyn goalie Chloe Munyon made nine of her 12 saves before halftime to help her team to build a 9-2 lead at the break.
Bryn Athyn used a 10-3 edge in draw controls to own possession and build a lead. Quizon scored early in the third and late, but the rest of the scoring belonged to the host.
The Eagles have ten days to recover before their next official game. The game originally scheduled for March 21 at Cairn will not happen as Cairn delayed the start of their program until next year.
