Women's Lacrosse Stopped at Albright

READING, Pa.– Eastern University Women's Lacrosse won 12-of-25 draw controls, but the Eagles were unable to convert that possession into a result in a 21-3 loss at Albright. Cecilia Wilson grabbed a game-high seven draw controls and scored an early goal in the loss.

The Eagles had a chance to take the lead after a Wilson won the first draw control of the , but Hailey Ferry had her free position shot saved. The Lions (3-11, 1-4) were able to successfully clear and scored on their fourth shot of the ensuing possession. 

Wilson won the next draw and tied the game with a free position goal, and the game stayed tied at 1-1 until nearly the end of the first quarter. The Lions finally broke the deadlock with a Katelyn Patrick goal with 35 seconds left in the first frame. 

After breaking the tie, the Lions found an offensive rhythm and broke the game open in the second quarter. Albright had a 15-3 edge in shots and led 12-1 at halftime. 

After the Lions scored the first goal of the second half, Hailey Ferry converted on a free-position attempt to close the gap to 13-2. Ferry added another free-position goal in the the fourth quarter. The Eagles were 3-for-12 on free position shots in the game. Albright converted on 4-of-7. 

The Eagles (1-12, 0-6) will host Hood College on Saturday at noon.
