ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– Eastern University Men's Tennis dropped the first two doubles matches off the court and was unable to recover in a 6-3 home loss to Alvernia.
Bryan Levi was a double-winner at the top of the order for the Eagles.

Darren Lopez won the final five games of their doubles match to erase a 6-3 deficit. The duo broke to pull within two games and broke twice more while holding serve to to close the gap to 2-1 coming out of doubles.
Levi controlled his match at the top singles spot and emerged with a 6-3, 6-1 win, but by the time his match ended, the Golden Wolves had already claimed another point with a win at second singles. Alvernia won three more singles matches to secure the result before
Ryan Kratz picked up the final Eastern point of the day with an 8-4 win at the sixth singles spot.
The result puts the two teams in a tie for fourth in the league standings, but Alvernia now holds a tiebreaker should the two teams end the year tied. Eastern has matches remaining against Lebanon Valley, Messiah, and York.
