GRANTHAM, Pa. - Despite a valiant effort against the No. 2 team in the country, Eastern Women's Soccer dropped a 6-0 decision to the Messiah Falcons on Saturday evening.
After seeing their 150-in league match unbeaten streak snapped on Wednesday, the Falcons came into Saturday's match locked in and hyper-focused. With key injuries to Eastern midfielders
Jessica Burg and
Emma Bennett, Messiah, with a lineup that featured six seniors and three juniors, was able to control both possession and field position throughout the evening. The Falcons scored their first goal in the 24th minute and never looked back.
Brooke Moskey set a new career-high with 12 saves in the contest.
The Eagles will be back in action on Tuesday evening at Alvernia. The contest is set to begin at 7:00 pm.
