FLEETWOOD, Pa. - Eastern Women's Golf began its 2021-2022 season at the Arcadia Invitational on Friday. Sophomore
Marin Dremock led Eastern's three-woman squad with a 79, while senior
Elaina McGarrigle and first year
Julia Leo carded 93 and 94 on the first day of competition, respectively.
"The course was playing tough from all the rain that came through yesterday," Eastern Women's Golf Coach
Bridget McLaughlin said. "But all three girls showed a lot of patience throughout the day."
Dremock was strong off the tee throughout the day, giving herself a plethora of birdie opportunities. She only recorded one birdie, which came on the 17th hole, but Dremock shot an impressive 38 on the back nine to cap off a solid start to her sophomore campaign. Additionally, Dremock's 79 was good for fourth place as an individual.
Eastern Women's Golf will be back in action tomorrow for the second day of the Arcadia Invitational beginning at 10:00 a.m.
