STEVENSON, Md.– Eastern University Men's Tennis dropped a 9-0 decision at Stevenson in the teams first full match after nearly four weeks off.
While some Eastern players got matches in yesterday in a non-counting match against Hood, a goof deal of the Eagle line-up has not played competitively since a season-opening loss to FDU-Florham in March.
Ryan Kratz and
Kenneth Samuel won three games at second doubles, but the Eagles were down 3-0 before the start of singles play. Though no Eastern player was able to force three sets against his Mustang opponent, Kratz forced a first-set tiebreaker in his match at No. 5 singles in the cold and windy conditions.
The Eagles (02, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) will host LVC on Saturday.
