ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– Eastern University Women's Lacrosse dropped their season opener to the Misericordia University Cougars. The visiting Cougars scored 14 first-half goals on the way to a 23-0 win. 

Allison Andres led the Eagles with 3 draw controls. Libby Daniskas made 19 stops in goal.

The short-handed Eagles will look to get healthier before playing at Delaware Valley next Saturday. Today's game was nearly a full year since the Eagles earned a 14-13 win over Westminster University on Olson Field on March 10, 2020.
