ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– In the squad's first action in nearly two full years, a young Eastern University Men's Tennis squad dropped a 9-0 non-league decision to the FDU-Florham Devils.

Bryan Levi was able to extend his singles match to a third set when he answered a 6-2 loss in the opening set with a 6-2 win in the second. Jonathan Carrasso won several close games in the third to emerge with the three set win at the top singles spot.

Jacob Devage played a tight first-set at the fourth singles spot, but fell 6-2 in the second to drop his first collegiate singles contest.

"We have a lot of new players with little experience," Head Coach Mark Spangler said, " We played a very good team, and we have some things to work on this week.   This team is eager to work and improve."

The Eagles will travel to Stevens Institute of Technology for another non-league test before opening the MAC Commonwealth season at Alvernia on April 10.
