How It Happened:
The two teams had a great battle at the first doubles spot.
Emma Paugh and Good dropped a very close 8-5 decision and the Eagles trailed 3-0 heading to singles play. The Monarchs (7-7, 1-1) claimed the match with quick wins at third and fourth singles.
Good worked the baseline in her match and kept the pressure on with goof ground strokes and a solid service game. Paugh fell 6-2, 6-0 in a match that was far closer than the score. She and Emiy Fernandez exchanged lengthy rallies on the baseline and had numerous games go to deuce. Fernandez, the MAC Individual Champion at first singles, made enough shots to claim the win.
