Nick Wool picked up singles victories for the Eagles.
How It Happened:
After dealing with near freezing and windy conditions through much of the season, the teams got a beautiful spring day for a match. The visiting Monarchs grabbed all three doubles points to grab control of the match early.
Finkbeiner and Wool each won their singles matches in super-tiebreakers. Finkbeiner won his opening set 7-6 with a 7-4 tiebreaker at the fourth singles spot. He dropped the second set 6-2 but claimed the victory with an 11-9 win in the super-tiebreaker. Wool won his opening set at no. 5 by a 6-2 margin. He dropped the second set 6-3 and trailed 7-2 in the super-tiebreaker. He battled back to win by an 11-9 in the super-tiebreaker.
Ryan Hamilton won his opening set at second singles, but he fell in three sets.
