ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– A 10-0 run to close out the first half by the visiting FDU-Florham Devils proved to be the difference as Eastern University Women's Basketball was unable to recover from a 13-point halftime deficit and dropped an 86-77 decision in MAC Freedom play.
Regie Robinson scored 28 points, grabbed 19 rebounds, dished out five assists, blocked three shots and made a pair of steals in the loss.
The Devils led 38-35 with a little more han two minutes to play in the half, and the Eagles picked up possession on a steal from
Da'Naziah Brown. Eastern was unable to capitalize on the ensuing possession and the Devils ran off ten-straight points to close out the half.
Every Eastern run in the third period came in response to a Devil burst, and the the deficit stayed at 13 points with ten minutes to play.
In the fourth, the Eagles were able to get the ball inside to Robinson and
Viki Kneis. Sometimes that came on post entry, but often it came on the offensive glass. Robinson socred 13 points in the period and Kneis added eight, but the Eagles were unable to generate enough stops to pull inside of five points. Led by Kayla Croswell's nine made foul shots, the Devils made 12 free throws in the frame to hold the lead.
Croswell led FDU with 24 points and Cayla Staggers added 22. The Devils made only two 3-pointers in the game.
Kneis finished with 18 points and seven rebounds on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor.

Da'Naziah Brown each scored nine points.
The loss drops the Eagles to 5-9 and 0-3 in the MAC Freedom with a trip to Wilkes scheduled for this weekend.
