HAVERFORD, Pa.– Eastern University Women's Soccer saw its two-game winning streak snapped on the soft grass field at Haverford College. The host Fords scored three times on corner kick plays and emerged with a 7-0 win.
Eastern (2-3) was under pressure early. Adriana Rowlands turned away two shots in the opening six minutes before the hosts converted from in tight on a corner kick. Haverford doubled the lead on a another corner nine minutes later. The Ford lead grew to four with two more goals before halftime.
The Eagles had a little more of the play in the second half, but Haverford scored three times in a three-minute stretch for the final margin.
Eastern will play at Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday.
