ANNVILLE, Pa. – Eastern University Women's Soccer dropped a 4-0 decision at Lebanon Valley College in the season-opener for both sides. The host Dutchmen scored two goals in a 70-second span in the first half and added two more tallies in the second half to pull away.
How it Happened:
Lebanon Valley first-year Lucy McGloshen scored on a header in the 14th minute and added her second tally just over a minute later on a pass from the right side of the field.
The Eagles had a pair of first-half corner kicks, but did not get a shot on frame.
Adrianna Rowalnds made five stops in goal for the Eagles.
Coach West Says:
"We struggled to handle their pressure and establish rhythm. The effort was there, but we just missed execution. We have another game tomorrow and another chance to get better. That is exciting."
What is next:
The Eagles host SUNY- Oneonta (0-1) at 4:00 pm tomorrow. It is the first meeting ever between the two programs. the Red Dragons lost at Misericordia this afternoon.
