DOYLESTOWN, Pa.– Eastern University Women's Tennis (5-2, 1-2 MAC Freedom) swept the doubles matches and earned four singles wins to pick up a 7-2 MAC Freedom win at Delaware Valley University.

"Picking up all three doubles matches was huge," Head Coach Mark Spangler said after the match. "We have been working on our doubles and it put us in a good spot today."

Emma Paugh and Lauren Good cruised to an 8-0 win in the first spot. Olivia Weaver and Shannon Jugler had more of a test with an 8-5 win at second doubles. Spangler commented on the teamwork that tandem has developed over the year. Cara Degnan and Emily Thomas earned an 8-4 win in third doubles.

"Emily was really good in doubles," Spangler added. "She made a big difference for us today. I don't think she missed a volley in doubles."

The Eagles won in straight sets in the top three spots. Paugh won 6-1,6-1. Good earned 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles and Weaver pulled away to a 6-4, 6-1 win ath third singles. Degnan won 8-3 at sixth singles.

"Emma played really well today," Spangler noted. "She and Lauren both really took the initiative to force the action in their matches.
