HAVERFORD, Pa.– In their first game action in nearly eleven days, Eastern University Women's Lacrosse lost at Haverford. The Eagles trailed 16-3 at half and fell by a 21-5 final.
The host Fords scored three times int he first three minutes before
Julie Haggan put away her first of two on the day. the Haggan goal, however, proved to be just a minor interruption in the Haverford rush. The Fords (7-1) scored five times in the next two and a half minutes to grab an 8-1 lead and complete control of the game.
Sam Brennan and Haggan added goals int eh first half, but the Haverford attack pushed forward to an 18-3 lead before
Liz Brennan scored her first of two on the day with 18 minutes to play in the game.
Led by
Meghan Kosmides with four, the Eagles won 12-of-27 draw controls and earned ten free position shots. The Eagles were only able to convert four of those ten into goals.
Marcie Spencer made ten stops in the loss. The Eagles (2-3) will play at Widener on Saturday.
