SWARTHMORE, Pa.– Eastern University Women's Lacrosse (2-2) fell behind early and was unable to rally in a 15-2 loss at unbeaten Swarthmore College (4-0). The Garnet had a decided advantage in possession and kept Eastern off the scoreboard until the final nine minutes of the game.
The Garnet had an 8-to-5 edge in first-half draw controls and also forced 16 Eastern turnovers on the way to a 13-0 halftime lead. The two teams each scored twice in the second half, but the Garnet had control of the ball and the game for much of that frame as well.
Sabrina Campbell scored her third goal of the year with 8:03 to play, and
Jazzlyn Sullivan scored her fifth of the season with less than four minutes to play.
The Garnet had a 27-8 advantage in shots and a 21-6 edge in shots on goal.
Eastern is back in action at Stockton University on Wednesday evening.
