DOYLESTOWN, Pa.– Eastern University Field Hockey closed out its MAC Freedom season with a convincing 4-1 win at Delaware Valley University. Marisa Laganas scored a pair of goals for the Eagles (6-10, 3-4 MAC Freedom ).

Though the Eagles had a decided edge in possession and opportunities, they were unable to carve out a lead until Maya Wales redirected  Macey Talhelm cross with under ten minutes to play in the first half. Talhelm started the play by earning the circle on the left side and lifting a shot into the goalkeeper's pads. She knocked the rebound to Wales who was right on the doorstep.

The Eagles had a 5-2 edge in first-half penalty corners.

The Eagles doubled the lead on their second penalty corner of the second half. After she had a deflection saved on the first corner of the half, Laganas played a perfect tip on Gina Millers shot for her first goal of the afternoon.

Nine minutes later, Laganas scored her second of the day on yet another corner. Miller rescued an overhit insert and found Alison Hoag inside the right edge of the circle. Hoag played a powerful dribble forward and cracked a hard ball across the face. Laganas tipped it home for her fifth goal of the season.

The Aggies (6-12, 2-5 MAC Freedom) broke up the shutout with a goal in the 65th minute.

Hoag knocked home a rebound of her own miss in the 68th minute for the final margin.
