HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.--Eastern University Women's Lacrosse suffered a 14-9 setback against the SUNY Potsdam Bears on Wednesday afternoon.
Anna Charlebois led the Eagles with four goals in the loss. After freshman Julie Haggan opened the second half with a goal, Charlebois netted back-to-back goals to pull Eastern within one, 9-8 with 27 minutes left in the game. However, Eastern had no answer for Potsdam after that. The Bears rattled off five straight goals to put the game out of reach.
Haggan and Stephanie Hogan each scored twice, and Jacquelyn Janda scored once.
Eastern plays next at Alvernia University on March 11.
