ST. DAVIDS, Pa.--Eastern University Women's Lacrosse tumbled to perennial powerhouse The College of New Jersey Lions 17-1 on Saturday.
TCNJ, a program that has made the NCAA Tournament each of the last 28 seasons and is currently ranked No. 14 in the nation, out-shot the Eagles 25-3 and dominated time of possession.
Eastern tallied its lone goal with 9.7 seconds remaining in the contest. Freshman Victoria Rath worked her way from the right side, goal-line extended, toward the middle of the fan and hooked the shot in for her fifth goal this season.
TCNJ's Kendal Borup and Ava Fitzgerald scored a game-high four goals each. Borup opened up the scoring 25 seconds into the game.
Eastern (3-7) moves on to conference play. They play at King's College on Thursday at 1 p.m.
