MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.--Eastern Baseball's bats were quiet against Muhlenberg College Wednesday afternoon in the Eagles' final game in Myrtle Beach.

Eastern lost 6-2 to the Mules after collecting four hits in the game. The Eagles earned seven walks, but the first two batters in the lineup were the only ones to get hits. Ryan McMenamin and Andrew Check each batted 2-for-5.

Check recorded two RBIs in the seventh inning when he smashed a two-out single to left center, plating Dillon Schwartzer and Ryan McMenamin.

Eastern's Tom Gordon made his first start as an Eagle. Gordon was tabbed with the loss after allowing three runs--one earned--five hits and walk while striking out one. In relief, Ben Melendez and Joe Clancey gave up three runs--one earned--over the next three innings.

The Eagles trailed 6-0 before plating the two runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Lucas Bremerman, Austin Little and Andrew Check each pitched a scoreless inning to end the game while allowing just three Muhlenberg hits and no walks.

Wednesday's game started 3 1/2 hours later than originally scheduled because of rain.

Eastern is trying to add a game for Friday in Virginia, but those details have not been finalized yet.
