LANCASTER, Pa.--Eastern Field Hockey fell to the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats 6-1 Saturday in a grudge match of last season's exciting overtime NCAA tournament game.
Saturday's game remained scoreless Saturday until the 30th minute, when F&M's Katie Cecere opened the scoring by finishing a shot after a corner.
The Diplomats earned 13 penalty corners and peppered the Eagles with 14 shots on goal. F&M took a 2-0 lead going into the half and led 6-0 with 10 minutes left in the game.
Eastern's Megan Bolton scored her first goal of the season, sinking a shot off Sarah Webb's corner insert.
The Eagles will look to bounce back 7 p.m. Tuesday at Widener.
