ST. DAVIDS, Pa.—Eastern Men's Soccer recorded its 11th clean sheet of the season in a 5-0 win over PSU-Abington on Monday in one last non-conference game as both teams are preparing for their respective conference playoffs.

The Eagles improved to 13-3-1 while the Abington Lions dipped to 10-4-2. 

Eastern freshman midfielder Jamie Bonner led the Eagles with the first two goals of his collegiate career and an assist on a great through-ball to Mitch Osterhouse. Sophomore Josh Cirocco added a goal and two assists, including a nice cross to JD Saracco.

Nick Policastro picked up his second win in goal for the Eagles this year. He only faced three shots on goal, but saved all three. The Eagles defense again did an outstanding job deferring opponents from getting shots on goal.

Bonner put the Eagles up 1-0 in the 15th minute, heading in a corner kick from Jair Saenz. Osterhouse made it a 2-0 game in the 20th minute after Bonner sent him a great ball from behind midfield. Osterhouse forced the goalie out, touched the ball around him and finished. The Eagles had a couple chances in the end of the half, but were unable to make it a 3-0 game until the start of the second half.

In the 47th minute, Josh Cirocco earned the penalty kick after PSU-Abington denied two rapid shots but recorded a handball on the goalline. Cirocco then snuck the ball under PSU's keeper James Carlin.

A minute later, Cirocco set up the Eagles fourth goal with a cross from the left wing across the goal to JD Saracco who finished near the right post. Cirocco found Bonner for the near-post header on a corner kick in the 55th minute, giving Bonner his second goal and the Eagles a commanding 5-0 lead with 25 minutes to go.

All Eastern field players made an appearance in the game, save Eric Giovagnoli who was last week's Freedom Conference Player of the Week.

The Eagles, currently number one in the conference, can lock up home field advantage with a win over FDU-Florham Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
