HAVERFORD, Pa.--Eastern Women's Basketball fell 56-44 to the Haverford College Fords on Saturday afternoon.
Meghan Nowak led the Eagles with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Gina DiDomenico added nine points and five assists.
The Fords Dominique Meeks scored 16 points to lead all scorers.
After trailing by 13 points at halftime, the Eagles cut the gap to four points with 8:02 remaining as Gina DiDomenico hit two 3-pointers in succession. However, the Eagles were unable to get closer than four and went nearly four minutes without scoring after those buckets.
The Eagles shot 17-for-48 (35.4 percent) for the game and 5-for-22 (22.7 percent) from 3-point range.
The Eagles participate in a tournament at Lycoming College on Dec. 28 and 29. They face Susquehanna University at 7 p.m. at Dec. 28.
