ST. DAVIDS, Pa.--Eastern Field Hockey pounded the DeSales University Bulldogs 7-0 on Saturday afternoon, improving to 8-4 overall and 2-1 in the Freedom Conference.
Eastern dominated offensively, taking 22 penalty corners to DeSales' three, and taking 27 shots to DeSales' four.
Eagles' junior Jess Jaindl scored three goals in the win, giving her a team-high seven on the season.
Jaindl also recorded an assist, helping freshman Adrienne Borrelli score her first collegiate goal.
Eastern's Brittany Moyer assisted two of Jaindl's goals and scored the Eagles' first goal of the game. Moyer's four points Saturday increased her career total to an even 100 points.
Moyer put the Eagles on the board in the seventh minute of the game. After a penalty corner, Moyer took a shot that was denied but bounced right back to her, allowing her to finish near the right post.
Jaindl scored her first goal when Shannon Graybill found her in front of the goalkeeper after a corner. Jaindl drew the goalie out and tapped the ball to the right post for the score, giving the Eagles a 2-0 lead in the 18th minute.
The Eagles would score their remaining five goals in the second half. Jaindl scored her second in the 39th minute. Moyer cut down the right wing all the way to the baseline before dishing the ball back to Jaindl in front of the net for the finish.
Jaindl found Borrelli in front of the net in the 46th minute after a penalty corner play seemed to go awry, but Hannah Bartholomew sent the ball back into the circle for Jaindl to redirect to Borrelli.
Jaindl completed her hat trick in the 49th minute. In the 55th minute, Danielle Frasca scored her first collegiate goal, swiping a ball from the goalie's feet and knocking it into the goal. Junior Abby Wagner finished the Eagles' scoring with 12 minutes remaining, swatting a ball in mid-air past DeSales' Becky Rasmuson.
The seven goals scored are the most for the Eagles this season.
The Eagles play three home games this week beginning with a 4 p.m. match against No. 3 TCNJ on Tuesday.
