ST. DAVIDS, Pa.- The Lebanon Valley Dutchmen outscored the Eastern University women's lacrosse team 11-3 in the second half of today's match to earn a 16-8 win.

Each team scored five goals in a closely contested first half. The difference came just after the half when Eastern earned three consecutive penalties, and played down two players for a full five minutes. During that span, LVC built their lead to 8-5. Senior Grace Griffith scored her third and final goal of the game with 21 minutes left to play to give the Eagles a glimmer of hope.

The visitors pulled the ball away from the goal in a semi-stall, and then used the open space to score four straight to put the game away. Critical to their success in the game, LVC controlled the majority of the draws when the game was in question.

Sophomore Christy Hild put the Eagles back on the board in the 45th minute with her third goal of the game.

LVC's Hana Krechel scored a game-high seven goals to pace the guests. Lindsey Buckman had four. Griffith and Hild both finished with three for the Eagles.

The Eagles return to action next Wednesday at 4:00 at Elizabethtown College.
