The Eagles took closed the gap to nine midway through the second half on a nice pass from Jeriah Garton to Mary Poole, who played in her first game for the Eagles after coming off a very successful volleyball season, but the Monarchs put together a run to quickly bump their lead back to 17.
The Monarchs improved to 4-2 in the league, while the Eagles fall to 0-4. Eastern returns to action at Delaware Valley College on Saturday afternoon at 1:00.
