Chris Bayon scored both early goals for the hosts. Ryan Castle finished a free kick to cut the Gettysburg lead in half in the 29th minute. The Eagles trailed 2-1 at the break despite owning a 7-3 advantage in shots. Eastern Head Coach Mark Wagner commented, "We were very concerned about a slow start, and we did exactly what we knew we could not afford to do. We know from earlier in the year that we cannot let good teams get an early lead. Gettysburg is a good team."

The Eagles continued to press through the second half, but were unable to find the goal again. Gettysburg's Ryan Schaffer scored in the 70th minute to increase the host's lead to the final margin.

Eastern returns to action next Tuesday with a home game against Centenary College.
