Eastern Field Hockey rolled to a season-opening win at Gordon College. Four Eastern players scored goals.
Kelly Hermann recorded a shut-out in goal.
Lindsay Moyer, a 2007 First-team All-Region selection from last season, began this year with a flourish. The junior midfielder jump-started the game with three first half goals. Senior forward Kim Campbell added two second half scores. Campbell also picked up an assist on Moyer's final goal.
Eastern's rookies had a strong opening game as first-year players registered two goals and four assists and playing critical defensive roles in preserving the shutout.

Sarah Garber picked up a pair of assists.Â
