conference with an upset win. The defending champion Eagles jumped to a 10-0 first-half lead and never looked back as they earned a convincing 17-4 home win in a rematch of last year's PAC Semifinal contest.

Anne Dietrich, Jessie Basch and Grace Griffith each scored in the first three minutes of the game to set the tone early. After Katie Choquette scored minutes later, Erin Reimel picked up a pair of goals within 40 seconds of each other. Reimel, and Griffith each had a hat trick by halftime.

The Eagles took an 11-1 lead into the break as they out-shot the Griffins 17-5. Kim Campbell made 2 of her five saves for the game in the opening period, but the Eastern attack was the story of the day.

Basch and Reimel finished the day with four goals apiece. Griffith picked up a career best five goals in the win. Coach Azzarano was very pleased with the way her defense played. She said, "We came out of the gate really well, and our defense did what they needed to do particularly in the first half. Sarah Hager had a great all-around game for us today."

The Eagles (3-3 2-1 PAC) start a series of five straight road games on Tuesday when they travel to Marywood University for their fourth PAC game of the year.
