The damage could have been far worse had it not been for several standout saves from Rivest who made five total saves inthe period. Plymouth State held a 12-1 advantage in shots for the third period.
The visitors closed the gap to 6-4 with just over nine minutes to play on a goal from Steve Engel. O'Donnell answered with his 13th of the year on a great pass from Mandia just two minutes later. The play came immediately after a huge hit from Andrew Minnick caused a turnover deep in the Plymouth State Zone.
