17 points and 16 rebounds. Bailey did nothing to hurt her averages either way as she amassed 21 points, 18 rebounds, eight steals and four assists in 21 minutes of action to lead the Nittany Lions to a 83-59 win.
The short-handed Eagles used solid shooting early to keep the game close and trailed 22-17 midway through the first half. the PSU-Berks press began to take its toll, and the Nittany Lions finished the half on a 26-9 run to take a 22 point lead into the break. Bailey had 16 points and 13 boards at the break to lead the visitors, who had 20 steals at the intermission.
Emily Reeser,who finished with 14 points, hit a pair of three-pointers and a pair of free throws to lead the Eagles with eight points at the break. Eastern hit 8-11 foul shots in the first half and 18-24 for the game. The first half turnovers, however, were too much for Eastern to overcome.
The Nittany Lions exploded out of the gate in the second half with a 22-2 run. With just seven healthy players and a player fouling out early in the second half, the Eagles showed good character as they began to take better care of the basketball and battled back. Shaneen Brown finished with a career best 17 rebounds, and Hannah Tobin continued on her run of double-figure scoring efforts with a 13 point and 14 rebound effort. Patrice Freeman lead the Eagels with 17 points.
