the PAC. The Eagles, playing the road double-header against Marywood at home, could not take advantage of their familiar surroundings and dropped a pair of games.

The Eagles jumped to a quick 2-0 advantage in the first game with two hits, a pair of walks and a sacrifice fly, but the Pacers got to Eastern starter Kenny Long for a pair of runs on a walk, a pair of base hits and an error. The Pacers took a 5-2 lead in the bottom of the fifth when Matt Fidati hit a three-run homer. The Pacers picked up another couple runs in the bottom of the sixth, and the Eagles could only rally for a single tally on a Jon Montague RBI double in the top of the seventh, and Marywood won game one 7-3.

Game two featured more Marywood as Bill Pregmom led off the bottom of the first with a home run. The Pacers scored another run in the first and an uneraned run in the second to take a 3-0 lead. the Eastern offense picked up their first hit in the top of the third, but could not score a run until Mike Santello drove home Dan WIlson with a two-out single in the top of the fifth.

Marywood answered the Eastern rally with three runs in the bottom of the inning to take the game. Santello and Davis Murray each drove in runs for the Eagles in the top of the seventh, but the Pacers held on to win game two 8-3.

The Eagles are scheduled to play at Gwynedd-Mercy tomorrow afternoon.
