In July of 2024, Kory David joined the Eastern University Football Staff as Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach. David, who has over 20 years of experience at top-level Division III programs, comes to Eastern after serving in the same role at Muhlenberg College.
In his seven years at Muhlenberg, the Mules won post-season games in all six seasons. In the 2019 and 2021 seasons, Muhlenberg won five NCAA Tournament games. In those games the Mules had four shutouts and allowed only a late touchdown in a 24-8 win over Salisbury in the third round of the 2019 Tournament.
At Muhlenberg, he had three defensive players earn All-America honors and 11 players receive All-Region recognition. The Mules won three Centennial Conference Championships and allowed 10 or fewer points 28 times. The Mules finished 10-1 in 2023.
Before Muhlenberg, David had successful stints as Defensive Coordinator at Hobart College, Delaware Valley University, and King’s College. HIs Hobart teams finished 16-5 in his two seasons and his 2015 team was ranked int he top ten in Division III in First Downs Allowed, Total Defense, and Third Down Defense. His defense at Delaware Valley helped the Aggies to a MAC Title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
He received the Bill Walsh NFL Minority Coaching Fellowship and spent 2010-’12 with the Philadelphia Eagles organization working in quality control under Andy Reid.
That opportunity came after working with linebackers at Dickinson for three years following seven seasons as an assistant at Cortland. David was a two-time All-East selection at linebacker and played in the NCAA Tournament while at Cortland.
David lives in Conshohocken with his wife Katie and their two dogs. Katie has worked in the Front Office for the Philadelphia Eagles since 2008.
