Joe Clancy

For the 2025-2026 school year, Coach Clancy has been elevated to serve as the Associate Head Coach of Baseball at Eastern University. Coach Clancy enters his 6th year of service on the Eagles coaching staff. He has previously served as the Recruiting Coordinator & Hitting Coach (2024-2025), Pitching Coach & Graduate Assistant (2019-2020) and Volunteer Assistant (2018).

Since returning to the Eastern University staff in 2023, Coach Clancy has been integral in the offensive and defensive development of the program. This development has helped Eastern Baseball achieve 20+ wins in 2024, which was the first time since 2012. Offensively, in 2025 the Eagles saw several Team Statistics reach levels that have not been attained for several seasons. Team batting average (.290) soared to its highest peak since the Covid shortened season in 2020. The Eagles offense collected the most team hits (373) since 2016. The offense also achieved the highest team On-Base % (.399), team OPS (.819) & team Home Runs (26) since 2022. Coach Clancy has helped oversee the 2024 & 2025 recruiting classes. Coach Clancy has also overseen the expansion and growth of the Eagles' JV Baseball program, which now competes against Division II, Division III, and Junior College programs.

Prior to returning to Eastern, Coach Clancy served as the Head Coach at the University of Valley Forge in Phoenixville, PA (NCAA D3) from 2020-2023. While at UVF, Coach Clancy oversaw one of the most successful turnarounds for a program in collegiate baseball. Under Clancy, the Patriots Baseball program had the largest rosters in School History. Simultaneously, the Patriots also saw significant improvements on the field. This was capped off in the 2023 season where Coach Clancy led the program to a University record for single season wins, and it was the first time ever that UVF achieved double digit wins. Coach Clancy also led the UVF program to finishing in the top 25 in the nation for several team offensive categories, including ranking 3rd in the nation for stolen bases and 3rd in the nation for stolen bases per game. Player development at UVF grew exponentially under Coach Clancy as he developed the program's first ever ABCA All-Region player and first Player to be signed to Professional Baseball. In 2023, UVF also set a program record for the most players to ever receive All-Conference awards from the Colonial States Athletic Conference.

Coach Clancy graduated from Eastern University in December 2016 with Bachelors of Science in Business Management and a minor in Finance. During his undergraduate time at Eastern, Clancy was a 4-year member of the baseball program. When Coach Clancy completed his term as a Graduate Assistant at Eastern in 2020, he earned an MBA with a concentration in Business Management. Coach Clancy attended high school at the Lawrenceville School (NJ) and was a 4 year member of the Baseball program for the Big Red. Coach Clancy currently resides in Pottstown, PA with his wife Mary Cate & his golden retriever Daisy.
