In 2024-25 Amanda Ruller led Eastern University Flag Football to a 14-4 mark and an Atlantic East Championship game appearance on the program's first year and was part of a Football staff that led the Eastern men to a 5-4 mark in the Middle Atlantic Conference.
Originally from Saskatchewan, Ruller has coached at both the collegiate and professional football in the United States and Canada. Most recently, Ruller served as the Running Backs Coach at Central Washington University (2023-2024). Ruller helped the Wildcats to reach the third round of the NCAA Division II Tournament. Tyler Flannagan rushed for over 1,000 yards and was named the Running Back of the Year for the Lone Star Conference.
Before her time at Central Washington, Ruller had experience working at both McMaster University and the University of Regina in Canada. While at McMaster, she also coached Women's Flag Football. She also coached the running backs for Team Ontario Women's U18 Football.
Ruller pursued Bill Walsh Fellowship opportunities with in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks and Cincinnati Bengals and in the the CFL with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
As an athlete, she played running back for team Canada in 2017 and was part of the Canadian bobsled and skeleton team. She holds the team Saskatchewan Olympic lifting record.
Ruller holds a Master's degree in Sport and Athletic Administration from Central Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Regina. Her academic credentials are complemented by a suite of professional certifications, including Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP), and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT).
After working with Eastern Football's running backs in 2024, Ruller will take on the responsibility for tight ends in 2025.
