Coach Jack

Jack Braconnier

Matching his passions with his degree, Coach Jack Braconnier brings a scientific edge to Eastern’s Track and Field program with a bachelor of science degree in Kinesiology. With his expertise in biomechanics and physiology, he prides himself on providing specialized coaching with a focus on maximizing athletic performance through daily feedback. Braconnier has been training athletes for the past nine years with Cadence Cycling and Multisport based out of Philadelphia. He has coached multiple individuals to Team USA honors, and has helped numerous amateur athletes earn their professional licenses. Coach Jack also holds a USATF Level 1 Coaching Certification.

Braconnier comes from a running background with successes ranging from 400-meter sprints to the Boston marathon. He competed in both Cross Country and Track and Field at the University of Connecticut. While running with the UConn Huskies' program, Jack earned All-East honors at IC4A Championships and placed 10th in the 800 meter run at Big East Championships. As a middle distance specialist, Jack features PR’s of 48.9 in the 400 and 1:53:8 in the 800.  After racing on the track in college, he began racing multisport in triathlon and duathlon. He quickly ascended from his first multisport race to an undefeated age group season in 2008, then to earning a professional license in 2010. He has been racing as a professional athlete for USA Triathlon ever since.

Before running for UConn, Braconnier was a three-time high school All-American in Track and Field, running for Cardinal O’Hara High School. He was a medalist and scorer in the 400-meter dash as a senior at the Pennsylvania State Track and Field Championship and earned thirteen All-Catholic honors over his high school years.

Coach Jack loves working with athletes to ensure that their goals are achieved while pushing to find new areas of speed. He is thrilled to be a member of the coaching team at Eastern and to help push the Eagles to the top of the conference.
