Drew Patterson

  • Title
    Head Coach
Coach Patterson took over the reins of both golf programs at Eastern in the fall of 2017. Both his teams have finished in the top three in their respective conferences in both contested championships in his tenure.

The Eastern Men claimed a runner-up finish in 2019 and Nicky Marroollo became the first Eastern golfer to win an individual championship. The sophomore battled through tough conditions to outpace the field by two strokes at Mountain Laurel. Max Moore and Colin Burden earned second team All-MAC Freedom honors with top-ten finishes.

The Eastern Women finished second in 2017-18 and three players earned All-MAC recognition.

Patterson came to Eastern with a stellar playing resume. He starred at Division II West Chester University where he captained the team in his senior season. He recorded 15 top-10 finishes in his final two seasons for the Rams. He played to a 74 average in his senior season and broke 70 in tournament play three times. He earned PING Division II All-Atlantic Region recognition.

In his junior season, he won the Oglebay Resort Invitational over a field of 91 players with an impressive 3-under 139 over the two-day event. He tied for first in the same tournament the following year with a 5-under performance. He capped his collegiate career with a first-place tie at the PSAC Championships at Hershey East. The following summer, he returned to Hershey for the prestigious Jake Gittlen Tournament. He negotiated Hershey's notorious greens for an impressive 5-under two-day total and a win.

Patterson looks to instill his course management, competitive fire, and commitment to conditioning and mental toughness into both his teams.
