Head Coach

After serving as an assistant for several seasons, Coach Ambler took over leadership of Eastern softball in 2002 and won a program-best 100 games in his six seasons as head coach. His teams qualified for the PAC Tournament four times, and the Eagles placed third in 2007.

His 2005 team became the first team in program-history to finish with a winning record. Ashlee Keyser, a 2017 Hall of Honor Inductee, earned All-Region Honors in 2005. He was named PAC Coach of the Year in 2004.

Coach Ambler passed away shortly before the start of the 2009 season.
