Val Wilson

Val Wilson joined the Eastern University Cross Country staff during the 2012-13 academic year and was part of the first staff when Track & Field was added as a varsity sport in 2015-2016. She serves the track programs as an assistant coach for hurdles and distance. 

Wilson (nee Wrona) is a 2012 graduate of Eastern and a four-year varsity runner for the Women’s Cross Country program. In her senior year, she served as the women’s team captain and played an instrumental role in the team’s success in the MAC.

Coach Wilson assists in all aspects of program development, recruiting, nutrition education, and athlete training. Her years of running experience in events ranging from 200m to the marathon enable her to easily connect with athletes across all disciplines. Wilson brings tremendous organizational skills and a competitive drive to the coaching staff, and her vision for pushing the program forward pushes athletes to reach new levels of competitive excellence while growing in all phases of their lives.
